KEAM 2024 Rank List for Engineering

  1. The KEAM Engineering and Pharmacy Entrance Examinations 2024 will be conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format over multiple days, each session will feature a different set of questions.
  2. To ensure fairness across different sessions, a Normalisation procedure will be released. The total score of the entrance examination, out of 300, is normalized using a method approved by the Normalisation Committee. The final Index Mark after normalization is set at 300.
  3. For the Engineering rank list, an equal weightage of 50:50 is applied to the normalized KEAM Engineering exam score and the grades/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. If a candidate did not study Chemistry, marks from Computer Science will be considered. If Chemistry and Computer Science were not studied, marks from Biotechnology will be used. If none of these subjects were studied, Biology marks will be considered.
  4. The final year marks for each relevant subject (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology) are standardized and transformed to a score out of 100. The combined score for these three subjects is then computed out of 300 after standardization.
  5. Similarly, the normalized score from the Engineering Entrance Examination, also out of 300, is added to the standardized final year marks. This combined score, totaling up to 600, forms the basis for the Engineering rank list.
  6. The final rank list for Engineering courses is prepared by computing the total marks obtained out of this Index mark of 600, corrected to four decimal places.

Counseling Procedure

Post the announcement of the KEAM results, candidates those who are listed in the rank list released by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) can participate in the KEAM counseling process.

The counseling procedure is conducted in rounds of three, which is followed by a mop-up round. During KEAM counseling, candidates are allocated seats based on their preferences and the availability of seats in specific colleges and courses. The KEAM 2024 counseling is referred to as the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

The Centralised Admission Process is functioned through the Single Window System (SWS), which facilitates the allocation of seats across various courses and colleges under the State’s Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, and Medical streams. This system allows candidates to submit their course and college preferences online.

These preferences show which college and course has the candidate prioritized in his or her course-college combinations based on their aspirations and desires.

How to apply for counseling?

  1. Candidates need to register for counseling on the official website of KEAM.
  2. Fill in the choices of courses and colleges as per your interests and preferences.
  3. Based on your rank and preferences, seats will be allotted to you.
  4. Candidates must verify their documents at designated centers.
  5. Report to the allotted college for admission and other details.
